UNI-joint noises

G'day, i've got a 85 SWB pajero and it sounds like there is a metal type screeching noise coming from the either

a) Rear drums
b) Rear uni joint
or
c) Rear axle

It's been annoying me for a while now and I think it is the uni joint because its got some play in it and when I pump grease into it, it gushes out one side no worries but the other side not at all. For this reason, I think it is seizing up or trying to on one side and thus making noises when using 'engine breaking' or in slow reverse.
It doesn't occur when I am at speed though??

Any thoughts??

Cheers

Smithy, usually a on the way out uni will start as a slight vibration and slowly get worse (sometimes they fail outright) and this is usually at all road speeds (coasting and accelerating).
If your suss on the uni, change it first as they are only $80 or so and if the noise is still there I'd be looking at the drum brakes and wheel bearings.
