before you ask, yes i have done a search.
i was thinking about putting a 15bft into the 70, i had plans for the 1ggte into it but don;t like the idea of spooling up the snails.
the 15bft sounds shit hot, peak torque is down at 1800 rather than 3800 on the 1ggte.
question is, where can i get some info on getting one? or a price on it?
anybody know whether they will bolt up to my G-52 box?
what other things are there to look out for as i will converting petrol to deisal?
thanks in advance, greg

it will not bolt to the G52, and even if it did, it would shred the G52 in seconds. it's not a great swap for a bundy, it's a very heavy motor and would require a stack of work to get it in there and driving right. add to that you'd be lucky to find one for under $10k, if you can get your hands on one at all. Better swap if you want a turbo diesel is a hilux 3L (2.8 litre) with aftermarket turbo on it. Life will be much easier if you have a complete donor wreck to get fuel lines and filters and glow relays etc from. By far the cheapest way to get a diesel bundy is to trade yours for a factory diesel. If you want a powerful diesel bundy, don't muck about, put a chev 6.5 turbo in it.
