chock the rear wheels and raise the front end and rotate both wheels and work out where the noise is coming from.
turn left and right while front wheels are off the ground. Hopefully you'll find the problem.
Have you checked the diff oil? it may be contaminated with water - they give out a grinding sound.

I''ll try that, it also has the death wobbles pretty bad, did the panard bushs today, helped a little, but not much, just feels wrong, really wrong!!

yeah, id guess at the tailshaft, on larger lifts, needs to be swapped wnd to end,
how long has the lift been in?

You may need to cut a bit out of your gearbox crossmember and also have a look at your front leading arms.If those bushes are flogged out it will result in death wobbles. Always replace with genuine rubber next time around to.

I had the same grinding noise and thought it was the bushes in the drop arms so I purchased a set of 3rds and put them in, same noise.
i then sprayed WD40 onto the bottom of the springs on the diff and 'hey presto', all fixed.
Try the WD40 thing on stuff and you'll be right.

hadnt thought of that, the rubber bit on top of spring wears away and you can get that noise.

Buy the thin ARB spring packers (5mm) to put on bottom spring pad.
Repco etc sell urethane top insulators for front and rear.
