I'm about to put a LT230 and drop the Viscous in my brothers 93 Rangie, should i do anything to the auto box while it's out? it's done about 170000km, i'm only used to manuals and know nothing about auto's. It's gear changes can be a bit harsh can this be fixed? What sort of k's do you get out of the ZF before it needs work?

Thanks

Toby.

Mine did 260K before it started to play up (wouldn't change past 2nd). it was suggested we rebuild the entire unit, so I did.

Not cheap ($2700) but should last a long time now.

There is a guy in Southport who will recondition your ZF for $1900 fitted. I will try and find his number.

Shane

EDITED If you live in Qld, Action Automatics at 6/29 Bailey Cres Southport quoted me $1900 fitted and $1600 and something not fitted to recondition my Zf auto with 12 months warantee. His number is 07 5526 3299
