I have had a problem with my33x12.5x15 bfg muddies (40000ks) on my gq. They have begun to give a vibration wich vibrates the car between 80 and 100kph. they have been balanced and rotated every 10000ks and i run 33psi. from what i can see they have become slighty oval shaped with the back of every second lug droped or not touching the ground any thoughts or info would be good.

seems sorta normal on muds, i call it heal and toeing.. how long since they have had a balance?? also could be wheel bearings, steering or suspension links letting the tires wobble around and wear un even.
ive just come to live with it on a set of bfg muds i have..
i fixed it by buyin mtrs

I did around 80000 on my 33' bfg muddies and they made noise and vibrated. I ran them with between 35psi to 38psi, never rotated them except for when I changed cars, they never got balanced apart from when they were fitted to the rims and I never had a problem with them.
They are a mud tyre, get used to the vibrations on the road or go back to a/t's. I have a/ts at the moment and

my gq is alot more pleasant to drive but I miss the noise and vibrations of the muddies

. Not being sarcastic or a bastard but they are muddies, they arent really the best tyre for road handling I think its something you just get used to.
Having said all that, it could be something with nothing to do with your tyres, like bushes and uni's and such. Have you checked everything like that

They money you paid was for their off road ability, not their on road handling. But if you arent happy with them do as was said before and take them back to the dealer and explain your prediciment.
They cop a flogging 4wding so they will loose road handling though

If you have taken chunks out of the luggs it won't matter how much you try to balance them they will always vibrate. Are there any noticable cuts of chunks etc. Any sort of damage will effect thhe balance of a tyre and it can happen to a tyre at 10km or 10 000km. Just because a tyre is new or expensive won't stop it from getting damaged. Sometimes stuff happens.
