about finished

well got my toyota motor and tranny in and then had to take the motor back out cuz it was shot it had water in the oil bad so i swaped engines and got it fired up yesterday with no exuast but comming this weekend and the drive shafts will be made friday hope to get all the pictures on her when my brother gets his computer fixed so i can get the pictures off his camera! No clutch as of yet but working on adapter for it! I was able to eliminate most of the wires to the motor exept 5 altinater wires and of course starter and ground and the coil but all the passenger side wires are gone took it loose from the ecm! Oh and put a 16" pusher fan on in place of the other fan and the air conditioner is history! well let u all go! Oh any ideas on the adapter would be great t/y and happy 4x4'n

Way to go batshiz :armsup: You did that pretty fast.

Do you mean an adapter for the hydraulic clutch instead of a cable clutch? I am running the Toyota hydraulic with a 1600psi heavy duty pressure plate and clutch. I modified the clutch pedal to a pusher instead of a puller. Can get you some pictures if you want.

um actualy going to try using the daihatsu cable run it behind tranny and mount a bracket to hold it in place and use it as a puller dont know if it will work but worth a try but yeah if u got a picture of urs it might help if my idea dont work! oh and t/y for the other pics

I took some piccies yesterday and didn't get them downloaded. Will do that tonight.

I went with the super heavy duty clutch pak from Marlin with the 1600psi pressure plate. We tried to use the cable but I would have needed to add about twenty pounds of muscle to my legs to use it. We even extended the clutch fork four inches and it still wasn't enough leverage. It wouldn't have worked for a trail ride or DD. It may work for a stock pressure plate but I doubt it.

You're welcome batshiz for the previous pics. I got the piccies off the camera. My Dad gave me the camera when my sister bought him a new Cannon else I wouldn't be able to post pics at all.

The master is shown as close to the brake booster as I could get it. The wiring going through the firewall is above. I need to clean that up after looking at it.

The pedal is shown and the 2x2" tube welded to the pedal attached to the master push rod. This makes a short throw clutch but I am used to it and a normal clutch feels funny. I was going to take the pedal assembly out and modify the pedal by dog legging it to get a longer throw...but I would have had to modify the master mounting up higher with a spacer. I had spend months of being contorted in odd positions and didn't want to deal with it...just wanted a working clutch.

Ha ha still no carpet in the front. I didn get the 35's mounted but haven't ramped it to check for rubbing.

I need pics of that 22R install of yours!

Man, that height looks great - if you only moved your axle 2 incles forward you would have a 90 degree approach angle :-)

well after i got the motor in and drove it around i blew the 22r so had to rebuild the other 22r got it done and in will finish all the minor hookups tomarrow and finaly get some picks on this weekend my brother is going to bring his cam down and we will get the pic u all want! Oh and thanks again for all the picks on the clutch but i modifide the cable to work with the stock clutch little stiff but not bad it pulled the little c-clip out so i put a 1/2" cable clamp in to hold the cable and my brother fabed a mount for the bottom side with angle and a peice of a chain link, it works good was going to try it out this weekend but then had the old motor blow so maybe next weekend! :armsup: Didnt have much warning when it blew just a load rattle then it died broke a valve off in the piston will get a pic of that to! :rofl:

Josh: The reason that you couldn't post some pics is that they are TOO big...750kb, 1600X1200. They need to be 640X480. I only have a dial up account and was downloading for quite some time.

Hey Batshiz, is your new engine a carby one? What sort of power is it supposed to put out compared to the HD-E?

murcod it is a carby but i dont know what the difference is between mine and the hd-e as far as power or torque but i do know it has plenty for a rocky lol! Need to put my 31/10.50 a/ts on so it will dig in better dont have any pics of my little trip today but going out on labor day if it dont rain! went with 2 jeeps and the one got stuck to where he had about 2" of his front diff above ground lol no winch so had to jack him up and slide him off of the rutt! the other one slid into a rut and got stuck but i went right through all of it slid side ways through most of it but made it! It was just to muddy got 2" thursday and 3"of rain on friday so is was suppy!
Well think the bigger tires will be going on it by then and maybe will get a little muddy didnt get much on my rig but they did! TTYL guys
