hi all , after some thoughts on fitting a trimatic into a series 111 lwb.
it will be going behind a beefy big block 202.
i will need a gearbox option soon and this is a cheap option (assuming it can be mated to the transfer case).
thanks.

I have seen one of these done before with a series T-case - so it can be done. Can't be any more help, sorry.
IMO a better option would be to pick up a good SH LT95 cheap, and mate it to the 202. I sold a good one for $200 a few years back, and I have seen a few others in good nick for the same money.

yep the lt95 would be my first choice, but i thought it would be near impossible to mate to the holden six? but if there is an adapter out there and you can get over-driven gearsets for the lt95 transfer this is all good.

Never seen it done but I don't think it would be too hard, probably easier than adapting a trimatic to a series box. Probably just need to make an adaptor ring and machine a new bush for the flywheel.
The LT95 came with high range ratios of: 0.998:1, 1.2:1 and a few lower ones. Either of those 2 ratios would be fine. And since low is 3.32:1 compared to 2.5:1 (series) it gives you a bit to play with if/when you fit toy diff centres (e.g. 4.3:1 would work pretty well with that setup).
There was also a fairey OD available for the LT95, and it was a reasonable amount stronger than the crappy series fairey.
