Wheel studs..

Just went through the sierra and vitara bibles, and I noticed that both models are listed with wheel studs as m12x1.25, however, I have vitara rear disk brakes on my sierra, and the wheel studs are different to the normal sierra front ones. So I have to have two different sets of wheel nuts, I know it's unlikely, but anyone else in the same boat, or do I just have an abnormal set??

I think you could replace them if needed to. Not sure on the discs but the drums just push out from the back
cheers

Huh, Vitara's don't have rear disc brakes so do you mean you have Vitara front discs on the rear of your Sierra?

well yep I guess I have vitara front disk brakes for rear ones on my seirra. I know that the studs push out, but the sierra ones aren't a tight push in, and spin when you try to tighten the wheel nuts. Also, the vitara studs have a piece ground out on the back of the wheel studs, If you can picture a 5c piece with a small segment missing. I tried to grind seirra ones down but got a bad case of wobbley wheels as I just couldn't tighten them up enough.

I don't think it's that easy, I know front seirra disks won't work at the back, as they don't have enough offset, also my diff cases have a fabricated plate/mount at the ends to mount the disks, I can take some pics if someone wants to host them..

Pics would be great. i'm sure someone will host them.
Also the type 1 sierra NT studs are like u mentioned. I have just replaced one of these ones in my zook. Apparently there are 2 diff types. Type 1 is like you mentioned and is also in the 1ltrs i think.
