Thanks for all the great info from my last thread.

I have a deposit down on an 11/86 MWB cruiser. The interion is flawless but it feels a little gutless to drive compared to other examples I have tested. Especially trying to get from 80 to 100 in top gear is a real struggle using petrol or gas. Hills are even worse.

Is this a huge problem or does it just mean the thing needs a tune and to be driven more often cos its been in the garage for months?

Apart from this its a great truck and if I get it I'll post photos. Its in for a VACC check this week. I get the results on Thursday. BTW what should the compression test come out at more or less.

Thanks for all your info guys,

Dave

A petrol MWB should have no trouble getting to 100 on the flat! What size tyres is it running? What other mods does it have?

Compression should be around 8.1:1 I think.

Good luck with your purchase.
