ok i have started my conversion.

materials

5 mm ply

bolts and nuts

high build primer

final coat paint

2 rally spec air vents

vinal

thin open cell foam

i'm using the original sunroof fixing points so it's fairly easy to remove and i'll post pics tomorrow when i start fitting the vents and fit the fixings.

after i have got it fitted i'll start getting the lines right so it doesn't stick up and ruin the lines of the car (i know i'm being a pansy). any way look forward to tomorrow when it realy gets started and i'll start the how to guide

they were $69 ea from rev race gear but if you look around you'll probly find them cheaper.

i have only tested them at 60 kph on tarmac so i don't know about dust but they are ment to help.

and the air flow was good at 60 kph at 100 it might be too much

I take it you removed the sunroof glass/metal and installed the plywood. From memory, to be CDDA compliand for a time trial event you 1. can;t have a sunroof, 2. need at least 2mmsteel or 3mm alluminium as over head protection....just a thought.
