How much castor have you got, #1 problem with a lifted vehicle, low or nil positive castor gives stg wander, lack of feel and no return to centre.

when you say it steers like a boat

it wanders around when driving.

heads for th foot path or on coming cars under brakes

or just bump steer.

is the anti roll bar still connected to the front diff.

it wanders around when driving- yes
heads for foot path -no
and can u give a bump steer explanation = i think u mean when it hits a bump it goes one way or the other but he,s not sure if that is what u mean and yes there is two of us here
and regarding anti roll bar he has a sliding torque rod fitted

I get my wheel alignment done with the latest gear and with my solid axle (all leaf sprung) i was told that it will wnader to the camber of the road even when alignment is perfect. To fix this thy were talking about putting in some shims or something. I just put up with it, pain in the arse i know.
Join a gym so you can hold onto the steering wheel properly :)

bump steer is when the 4wd shoots in one direction when you drive over a decent bump in the road.
