Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hi all

my mate get a 5 speed box and transfer case today and the wreckers said that the transfer case has rock hopper gears in it and he just want to know if you can tell between stock and rock hopper gears

it's out of a hilux

If box is out of the car put it in 4th gear which is 1:1 then put the T-case in low. Next turn the input sharft inthe bellhousing, and count the number of full revolutions it takes to spin the T-case flange around once. The input sharft should do just over 4 revolutions to 1 at the T-case flange.
If it only takes 2 & 1/4 its standard gearing not rockhoppers.
