Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey all.

I am considering doing a body lift on a soon to be purchased 94' GQ automatic patrol.
My last drive was an 89' pajero i had done this mod on it in order to run 33x12.5 inch muddies.
I am worried that it will be fairly difficult to do this on the auto patrol especially if the shifter uses linkages instead of cables to the transmittion.

if anyone has any ideas or knows whether they have linkages or cables and anything i have to keep in mind as far as transmittion aspect of the lift please let me know

If its the same as 91 patrol auto, there are no problems. I did mine as per Bazzles instructions.

What suspension lift are you doing? IMO your better off without a body lift as the body metal round the mounts is really crap thin tinny shit. Adam had his all break one weekend out Menai. They happened at different times, but he only noticed when everything was fubar.

hey mate, i did a 3'' body lift on my 90 model, no dramas only the transfer lever, had to cut the hole a bit bigger and now need to get a custom boot made up, to easy

Why do you want to do a body lift though? Having done it once on a previous vehicle I wouldn't do it again unless there were no other way at all to fit the tyres I wanted. But with a GQ suspension lift only will let you fit some pretty big rubber.

I agree.. 2 inch lift will fit 33's or 3inch piss easy, dont bother with the body lift.
