h55f to lux transfer

anybody know if it is possible to fit a lux transfer to a h55f so i can run dual cases and get a longer front tailshaft?? or even an old 4speed style cruiser transfer to do the same thing?
i know i could make a custom adapter but i really can't be bothered, that would take weeks of my valuable spare time.

Marlin Crawler is now making ToyBox doublers for the H55f which uses the gear reduction unit from Hilux transfers. It has only been available for less than two months, it is not on their website yet. It can mate the H55f to the old single piece landcruiser transfer or the two piece LC transfer.
The parts are not available separately yet, but when they are the front plate and adapter stub shaft can be used to adapt the H55f to the Hilux case.

I bought one for a fellow in Japan for US$1400. One of the first five units made. Marlin thinks there may still be some bolt alignment issues with the early units. He's working with the early adopters.

what exactly do you get for $1400? does that include the necessary adapters, or the transfers etc? what happens to the great big enormous long output shaft from the H55F that 'spears' through the top of the split transfer? surely it is trimmed/replaced to prevent the whole assembly being ridiculously long?

For $1400 you get the front and rear adapter plates bolted on a rebuilt Hilux gear reduction unit, shifter, a stub shaft to fit over the shortened H55f output and some other small parts. You're right, the output needs to be shortened. When I get home, I'll send you a pic of the kit.
You are on your own to modify the 2WD-4WD shifter linkage though. I was told most people weld a shaft to lenghten the existing one.

you sent one to Stedman San? I wonder if he ever installed those Marks crawler gwears I sent him? his FJ will be a weapon!

Pic sent. It was for his buddy in Okinawa.
The doubler for the H55f has Marlin's 4.7 to 1 reduction by default so if it is installed into a stock drivetrain you get 4.843 x 4.7 x 1.99 x 4.11 = 186 to 1 crawl ratio.
With Marks under/under gears you gets 4.843 x 4.7 x 3.05 x 4.11 = 285 to 1 crawl.
Now add Marks Cruiser Crawler box behind the transfer (if they ever come up with one for the 60/70 style transfer) you get 869 to 1 crawl. Only Mogs can crawl slower, LOL.

I still can't believe that price - the marks crawler gears are $1600 just for the gears, so it is very very competitive and gives far better and more ratios. what is the karabiner in the kit reallllllly for??

I paid $1700 US all up.
When our $ was worth $2 Aus. it was worthwhile for me buying Marks gear sets (and I did

) but the ToyBox wasn't available yet. Now our $ is $1.30 Aus. so US products appear much cheaper in comparison.
Maybe that is one of the reasons Marks decided not to sell or delay the 60/70 series Cruiser Crawler transmission?
The carabiner was actually in the kit

I guess it was a freebie from Marlin. I really have no idea what it is for, but as you said when you go rock crawling you might as well as go rock climbing
