i have got a 1994 suzuki vitara, 1600cc 16 valve injected.
i have just brought a supercharger off a 4agze toyota.
will the motor handle the 10psi boost the supercharger will put out?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

after reading a bit , it looks like the motor should handle the mild boost done by that charge, i guessing you mean a sc12 charger. On stock ecu, would run better with a managed ecu it would be better. Are you mounting it to the block (does it clear the extractors as mine are pretty close already) or to the chassis rail?
let us know how you go plus lots of pics as i sure there is plenty of interest from ppl out there.

Will it be 10psi with the potential difference in size of the pulleys?
Worth checking out that its not 20 due to pulley size differences turning the supercharger harder.
10psi without intercooling on an NA motor is pushing your luck anyway. About 6-7psi would be considered relatively safe.

intercooling?
Maybe just the fact that the pressure pumping in on the higher compression would do wonders to the weaker cast crank and rods

yes an intercooler would help (it is a device to cool the air temperature down reduce chances of detination), i have eyes on a supra intercooler of a mates and the bov to leak off the extra boost. And the boost is related to pully size so becarefull on what size. Try lower boost eg 5psi and work way up to where you want. Speak lots with a performance shop they can tell you the does and don'ts and do your pipe work.
