ok guys,

first of all can u help me with the graphics on the side of my rig, i think theyre a bit crap and considering attackign them with the hairdryer and my fingernails? anyone got any better ideas? what are your thoughts?

put these springs in my SWB:
Image

they were the ones i bought from a LWB pajero, sprayed them blue, and voila! they were ablout 10mm shorter or so, but stiffer and hence ended up giving about i dunno somewhere around 2" lift, i forgot to measure before i started and by the time i remembered i have the wheels off, shocks d/c and the diff dropped, so no going back, but it definitely sits higher  with the front up 2" the back stands at 545mm from hub centre to guard, and the front about 540mm, so rather level i must say, and the back actually has a better ride than before and the springs i pulled out were in very very good condition, so i doubt they had sagged any ;) heres some piccies, enjoy

hairdrier has done the trick nicely for me in the past. I am not a bit graphics fan. I have removed every sticker that I could from every car I have owned. I just reckoned they looked cheap. They also look really crap when they start to age a bit.

I like ya springs mate. very snazzy :)

Cheers
Blake

yeh agreed swaddo,

i think ill do the hairdryer thing, used it before for 'for sale' stickers and stuff off windscreens, and cleaned it up with a bit of prepsol/metho, its all good, though scotts idea of the sandblasting sounded good

Scrap the poofy stripes and fit some Ralliart stickers!! Be proud of the fact that a Pajero won the Paris-Dakar again( Must be what? only ten in a row now?) :D  :D

They only use Landcruisers for recovery vehciles because they make a good winch point. And I think that the Plastics, oops I mean Prados, all busted their radiator support panels trying to keep up with the Paj's dust trail. ;) ;)

ahahhaha yes greggo, the 'stripes' will be scrapped, but definitely not replaced with the honours of the ralliart decals, im proud, very proud of mitsu, this is the second one iv owned, and i love them, but not the ralliart decals, seen a few on ebay and carsguide dressed in the ralliart attire but :D

If you look real close at my avtar you'll see the wife's grin as see drives through the water splash, and the ralliart sticker on the bonnet protector.

If you have any of the pretty blue paint over from the springs you could always spray the entire car THEN remove the stickers.

PRETTY.

 Hey Dean, Andy from bw4wd, Hows it going? Nice blue springs buddy, gunna do any other detail bits under the rig in blue? I reckon a body lift to get 33's in there's the way to go. But if they fit without a b/lift why go to all the bother? wont improve your departure angle with the tow bar there and wont change the ramp over either. All its gunna do is raise your center of gravity which can be a risky thing on a shorty. Remember that big rock climb at killingsworth? you'd feel like u'r gunna flip over backwards. Sticker on the back window looks good!!

33's need the body lift as not to scrub in the front.

Rear is fine.

I only saw the sticker on one of your photos. At least the beast will look a bit more serious without the girly stickers on the side. I cant talk though, mine's got stickers on the side too but im using the natural aproach to sticker removal, let the trees, sticks and rocks scratch them off. See ya mate. General meeting on Monday, see who gets voted into the top job, I heard you were in the running for presedent!!
