rear airlocker in my Gq wagon was installed in 1992, its actually a 1991 model patrol, and it now has 307,000 on the clock, and it still works perfect,

No different to any other style of diff, if its set up and serviced correctly it can last longer that the car itself.

Just had one fitted and ARB guy said to use LSD oil, apparently helps the o-rings last.

or fit a jack macnamara air locker which doesn't have a rotating air join. No O-Ring to wear out
at this stage only made for rangies and landcruisers. (just had a j-mac fitted to the rear of my troopy)
Cheers
