Mongrel remoulds i recon are the best tyre available in that size. They are the same tread as a centrpede and from memory are around $170 each.
yes they are retreads but they are offroad only right??? And they are cheap as.

And they are available from Arctic cool treads at Rocklea i beleive.

With those Mongrels - just be aware that they'll only really be as strong in the sidewalls as the original tyre....and I don't think they have a specific platform (eg BFG), just a set size base....
Just a thought...

Another tyre worth looking at is the Simex in a 31. One of the guys in the club is running them on his Zook and they are a true 31 very nice tyre

yeah i was looking @ the simex centipede's just want something that will be pure offroad use only. real bastard of a size for that really, if i could go 31x11.5 i would open up more options but i dont think i can do that without backspacing my rims.

i know someone with mongrels hasnt had them offroad yet but before they were fitted they were as hard as nails. you could stand on top of the trye with no rim and there was no flex in side wall even when bouncing on then

TSL's or Claws , don't go simex's they are crap unless of-course you like playing in little mud puddles

At this years Warn ateco challenge (Vic) Centipedes seemed to be working better than all other tyres with Q78s in second place. If any one brand of tyre seemed to struggle it was the Claws!
At the Outback Challenge it was a reversal. Alan Mac won on one of the less aggressive treads, ( pro comp Xterrains) , the Claws looked like they hadn't done any work, and some of the Cenipedes came back fairly worn.
Centipedes have their place 1Mad, but no tyre works well on all surfaces
