SideSill Protection Sierra

has anybody got pics for a sierra sill protectection i think you call them sliders my sills are getting bad from large rocks

there was this one guy on the internet the other day showing some rock sliders he made....
Dude, there's hundreds of places on the net to find pics of them.

all you need is a large metal tube preferably round and drill through the chassis nd attach it to it

Would this work at all. Was just having a play today on the pc with designs.
using about a 4-5" thickwalled pipe and cutting section in the middle to fit over the sill. possibly on the ends keeping the full round to go over the ends of the arches. Weld on or bolt maybe. Thinking tube is stronger than box i thought.

i might, but if u get a decent hit it will fark your whloe sill pannel... needs to be attached to somthing tuff. like chassi.

It would be no stonger than my 45ed sills they are 4mm. And yes Red_zook is right when you hit them hard engough you shag the whole thing.

YEP trust me my drivers side is completly farked from where i broke both swivel pins, and the wheel departed... out, smashed the sill pannel up then under the back wheel b4 the diff hit the ground and we came to a sudden hult.. this was a 60kph.. luck i didnt roll.
i have to cut mine out and weld a new pannel in there
one day

this would work if you plated the sill first with 5mm to 8mm angle...
not saying to copy but have a look at shrockworks to see how they mount it without going onto the chassis..
