i have a mate with 33" MT claws on his suzi ute. its a LWB with a flat tray, SPOA, and 2" lifted springs.
i have 33" MT/Rs on my vit.
we can only just fit 33"s on another mate's zook, but it cant do much. he only has extended shackles and 2" BL.
why y asking? are you planning on 33"s?

You would want lower gearing to go with 33"s as well or else u would be to fast everywhere and wearing the clutch all the time trying to take off and go slower..

not too much in WA requires a 33" tyre... a 31" is probably enough to get most places... if your dads fit under, put them on and try them out before buying em! then if you know someone on 31's try them out also if you can...
i reckon 33" would be a little bit too tall for someone just starting out - youll break heaps of stuff.

Alein open your eyes champ, I wouldn't even run something smaller then 35 if i was to build another rig.
Just coz manduring and the pines only require small treads, does mean the rest of WA is like that.
Bring your 31's here and see what happens

To clarify my post: i meant for someone still learning to drive, let alone drive offroad.
You'd never get above a 31" engineered in WA either now with the new laws... biggest lift you can run with 31's is 4" lift... this totals 6"ish and is the maximum allowed lift now in WA. - CRAP!

Word
WA law sucks... Thats why it's best to build something, and keep it off the road. Hell most 4bys modified are dangerous on the road anyway, would you really want to be driving soemthing around, then one day you kill someone coz you couldn't stop in time.
Your right something a little bit less would be good for him to learn in. But at the same time he has been wheeling with his dad for quite some time!

true i am only learning i but for one thing i dont want to be slwoing every1 dwon coz that can make people impatient and i have been driving for a while i know how to drive well i got atught in the ambo and driven up small hills and thru loads of mud so i think im wele equipped
i will only run 31`s on road (or for that matter for driving to tafe the stock 28s) anyways and the 34`s off road

lol a zuk with lift to suit 34's would look hilarious running 28's! haha you DEFINITELY need to take some photos of it =)

yeh it would look odd wouldnt it, then more people would look at it, o well its cheaper until the tread on them wear away till they are illegal on road then throw them out and go for someones old 29`s WOW then till they wear out get some 31 re-treads, o and at freo tafe they have a nice rugged parking spot just for me (its a short steep hill becasue of different levels of the car park and when its raning gets really muddy)

only downside to it will be that itll look like its running heaps more lift than it is with smaller tyres cos of the gap under the arches - might attract a few looks from the wrong people (ones wearing blue uniforms).
always good to have a hoon before class starts =P i used to do that during tafe lunchbreaks sometimes - go from subi to freo's powerline area, have a hack and get back all in 2 hours... lol

i reckon! 9" lift plus 34's (another 4" taller) totals 13" taller than stock! hahaha would be great to park on, i mean, next to a stocker and get a photo!

yeh woudl b sik still thinking if i want to run that lift mayb just 1"bl standard springs and at tafe (with help from my lecturer) im drawing up a set of climax shackles so wen im gettin ready to go road put some bolts in the shackles and hey an extra 2"or 3" of lift.

i already made some - check
www.suzukiinfo.com for the autocad file (makes 2 shackles).
i personally wouldnt use them again. theres never really enough weight on the wheel to do anything dramatically awesome... and when extended they twist HEAPS! kind of scary when you see it, i reckon if it got a bash when extended it may fail. not cool.
also - jacking up the shackles will change steering everytime you do it. why not buy a bunky car to take to tafe and leave the zuk for weekends? prolly cheaper on fuel too =)

yeh mite do that but cant afford to keep both in rego and the old man says i cant build a buggy.
with the shackles i have had it arranged to ahve the engineered by the guys at tafe.
