hj75 gearbox/transfer setups
What are the main diffrences between the gearbox/transfer setups in 1hz hj75 troopys from 1993 - 2000? Were there major changes or any particular year(s) that were different?
The HZJ75 has an H55f 5 speed gearbox in Aus. and in some other markets an H41f 4 speed. Both are mated to the BF1A split-case transfer.
In Sep 99, the HZJ75 was discontinued and the HZJ78/79 started. The HZJ78/79 has the R151f 5 speed also mated to the BF1A.
Of course this discussion does not include the petrol or turbo diesel models during that period.
Dumbdunce or dow50r may know more about improved syncros, bearings, etc.
