that sounds pretty good i think to be installed to? from the U.S you can get lockrites from about $400Aus

so $500 installed sounds pretty fair i would think?

I think you mean $500 to install it only...separate from the price of the locker....right?

hey guys.
i bought a lockrite from USA 4 $375 aus. if you pulled down the diff and remove the centre yourself i know its only bout $125 to install the lockrite in. the seals are only $3.00 each. my 2 cents worth.

It's not a difficult job installing a lockrite as it only replaces the spider gears. However if you're not mechanically minded $500 sounds OK if they are going to rebuild the swivel hubs at the same time.

The lock rite install and swivel hub rebuild would take a little over half a day in labour + parts.

yeh i've already got the lokka, see im very interested in trying to do it myself, just sounds a bit complicated n I don't wanna F%$K it up! I can install the actuall lokka to the 3rd member, as I pulled it outta a 80 series high pinion 3rd member as it came in it.. I did the IFS rear leaf swap on my truck in bout 45mins and found it easy as pie once I'd found out what to do etc.. just feel I might be getting a bit in over my head if I try fit this lokka, but as ppl say you gotta learn sumwhere...

I work at 4WD systems in SA where they manufacture their own locka they charge max $350 to install that is removing and refitting the centre and its not going to take much more to do the seals so $500 might be a bit rich.

Its not hard if you follow all the instructions properly and just make sure all your clearances are within spec.

Cheers
