What winch motor?

I have a early 8274 highmount and a 99 model 9000 low mount., is the 9000 motor bigger HP than the low mount which I think is the 2.5 and if it is will it fit straight onto the high mount?

I'm pretty sure power is the same.
The motor from a lowmount will fit a highmount.
If it is real early highmount with a keyway in the drive pinion, you will have to get another drive pinion with splines to fit the motor shaft.
If the highmount does not have the free spool knob, you will have to get a circlip groove machined in the motor shaft and a circlip to retain the drive pinion.

The high mount has the clutch knob, and there is nothing wrong with the motor, I just wanted a power upgrade if one existed.
Thanks, I won't bother swapping them if they are the same.
