Adapting Suzuki Wheels to Disco Bolt Pattern

I am defintely in need for a wider stance as the 15x 8 with 4.5" Backspacing are not giving me the wstance i need for rockcrawling yes I v been insane these days wheeling with 40" 7.2 L Jeeps.....

There is a set of 15x10 Suzuki wheels with 1-2" backspacing, I have been told by a shop owner that a flange can be welded to fit the rover bolting mount and pattern.
Is it :

1-SAFE
2-Doable
3-Long term

Buy a set of disco steel wheels and get the rims flipped (about the wheel centres) to reduce the back spacing.

Nop I haven't tried offsetting the F100 rims yet

Rover is 5 on 6.5" - what is suzuki?

Series 2 discos (and new rangies?) are 5 on 4.5" or something like that.

Zuk is 5 on 5.5", same as F100, id say dont do it, go disco rims or custom

What is the backspacing on those wheels ? 3" I am guessing as these tyres really stick out....

Isn't Bold pattern close enough to fit the rovers the only issue remains is clearing the disc brake diameter

Nop I haven't tried offsetting the F100 rims yet

No a mate had them on his zuk and they are same stud pattern, standard offset F100 gave him 1" of offset for his Suzuki, so I assume you could by F100 with a bigger offset to get another inch again maybe 2.

If you are going to try Rover Pattern which is not the asme as Zuk then you would have to offset the rims to get the distsne you require.

NO - they are both 5 stud but rovers are 6.5" pitch circle diameter (PCD) and suzuki/f100 are 5.5" PCD. So each hole on a suzuki rim would be just under 0.5" away from where you need it. Are you going to elongate every hole by 0.5"???

Adapters for doing this are available from Simmonites of Bradford in UK, & from at least two specialist fabrication places in US.

Not that cheap....around US$240 per axle...but they just bolt-on..

I would'nt risk Suzi wheels on a Disco.....the vehicles must be rather different in weight are'nt they..??

That is an extremely dodgy way to do it. Why not just cut and move the centre in your existing 15x8's until you have the offset you want?

You are right.
But i need beadlocks as I had two flats on saturday trial. One someone was winching on me and the second was a minor wheel spin to get over an obstacle. That is runnign 36x12.5 on a 15x8.

I am afraid to wreck these nice American Racing Wheels alough cheap at $55/wheel new
