Morning Guys,
I recently purchased a set of 33" silverstone mt117s, but i have found that finding a rim to suit is almost impossible, so im going to have to purchase another set.
I was looking at some MTRS, but im unsure what witdth to get. Also, what offset should the 15x8s be?
I dont want to purchase another set and find out it doesnt fit
Thanks in advance,
James.

Thats what im having trouble with. Ive been told i need a 16x8 with negative 20 offset, but the most i could find is negative 12. Would that be alright? or would i get some serious rubbing?
Thanks guys,
James.

oh a 16x8 why r u running 16s?, just buy the biggest offset u can, then chop and flip them to get as much offset as u want, and like dewse said massage ur guards.

Would negative 12 be alright? How much does it cost to chop and flip them? What offset should i be aiming for if i get it done?

you would want about a 2" backspace, from the face of the centre where it bolts up to ur studs to the inside edge of ur rim, gives u alot of offset and stability is dranatically increased, should cost about $60 a rim, depends where u r, ring around.

That sounds good. If i purchase a set of 16x8 regular sunraysias will they be able to have a 2" backspace? Is there enough room on the rim to be able to push it out that far? i rang Ajax in morrabin and they said about 55 per rim which is fine.. but he would need to see the rim before he was able to see if it could be backspaced 2".
So i just dont wanna buy some rims and not be able to get them flipped. So how can i tell if they can be backspaced?
Sorry for all the questions, i really appreciate the help.
James.

take ur measuring stick with u and see how big the ridge is in the middle, most sunnies there is enough room remember ur goin to flip them as well and gain alot, dont forget to redrill the valve hole, and fill in the original.
