hey guys just after some advise ive run 33 12.5 on 7's before even though its not recommended and had no probs with rolling tyres ect, just like to know if i can run 35 12.5 on the 7s ok or is the extra wall size and tyre float more of an issue.

i know but sunnies in the five stud are still round 100 not 50 which ends up been 400- 500, and getin second hand 15 x 8 is slim to none.

35's are ment to be on 10's and 8.5 is the minimum width set by most tyre company's although fitting to 8's is common. finding someone to fit them to 7's will be hard. back in the day (when 33's were big) i tried 3 places and no one would take my money to buy / fit 33's on 7's.
on 7's they hold on better at low pressure as the wall is more secluded from rocks etc. however on road the tyre will move side to side when cornering, as you loose triangulation offered by a nice wide rim. so stability is average.
why not go for a espcially narrow tyre like a simex and it will be better.

yea thanks, i thought bout simex but i cant seem to find a tyre balance as god as the claws for onroad driveability with excellent offroad performance, n i dont tink they are legal for on the road, my problem is ive been down the track of changing sets over and 38 swampers on 10,s with offset n all the waffle, im just trying to econimise a bit.

Why not get some generic 15's in the rim wdth you want and get your centres swapped over to them. That way you get the rim width and offset you want.

back on the origional quesion i have run 35 by 12.5s on 7s and had no problems at all, including wear. They are good for keeping in a budget and hey, theres blokes in comps rinning 18 inch wide tyres on a 8 inch rim without probs!!!!
