I did get a few problems with pictures not loading but the site looks great.

And I think a few of the links to your mate's sites might be dead.
Good wheeling pics though.

And another Q... how did you set up your images and thumbnails on the photo pages? I want to do something similar on my site, but I don't have the technology / know-how yet.
Cheers...

Yeah, some of those links might be dodgy, basically just put the photos up...haven't checked em all yet but they "should" be okay, the website was playing up last night..might be a hangover from that hehe.
To do the image pages I went to
www.tucows.com and found a shareware thumbnail program, can't remember the name of it but if you want it let me know and I'll check tonight.
Program's pretty simple, load up a directory with photos, open the directory in the program, type in some comments, hit a button and it does the rest...pretty sweet!!
Thanks for the feedback!

I'd love to post vids, and I have a few at home, but my disk space limit with ozemail is only 5mb :| I'm almost to the max of that now hehe
I'll update this thread tonight with the program link for ya.

Mate, the program I used is called Easy Gallery Generator.
Grab it from
http://www.tucows.com/mmedia/preview/284926.html
Checked my vids last night, really only have one worth while at the moment, lot of fun as it's before I got my front locker so I'm flogging the crap out of it with not much success
I'll email it to you over the weekend.

It looks like you have a good time in that little feroza.

Love to have fun in the Ferwoaza, I think it's great to show people what it can do, first time out people are always suprised.
They are more capable than people give em credit for...I think people tend to lump it in with the Rav4 and dismiss em...
IFS is the weakest thing on the car, and I intend to fix that. Lack of aftermarket support just means more creativity, such as my welded front diff to get a locker
And I plan on fixing the gearing as well...Feroza's have 5.29 diffs stock and a lowrange around 1.7:1 so they are "ok" but nowhere near great. In a month or so I'm going to be working with MRT (Middleton Rally Team) to get ~4.5:1 low range gears made up. MRT started in rallying with daihatsu's and do lots of performace stuff for Ferozas. They do lots of custom stuff, even lsd's if required, cut their own gears...
So...6months...I should have a truck that will rival most suzukis...and has a 1.6L engine stock hehe

Nice one. I bet the 1.7 is a bit tall even with the 5.29s.
I like that feroza with the live front end... looks the goods.
Have you suffered any side-effects with the welded front diff?

I won't be going as big as Ferozius. 33s will be the max aim, but initially, doing my body lift in a week or two and putting 31s on. Then swap out the front axle, put in 5.29s and keep the 31s...then SPOA and 33s
Welded front. I love it, no more having to thrash the hell out of it. Just plod along, get one wheel up it (one is usually in the air hehe) and I'm done.
Side effects, steering wants to return to center more, so it takes a little more effort to hold turns, turning circle is larger going forward, on grippy climbs can pull you sideways if you don't keep an eye on it, but these are all common with all diff locks when they are engaged. I've done 60kph on a dirt road in 4wd, it's fine.
Diff is a lot stronger now it's welded, it's a weak point of the Feroza (rear is plenty strong, just weak front). CV's and other stuff will go before the diff does, which is good because replacement diffs cost a fortune.

33s would a nice size that little truck. How are you going to raise the front to match the SOA rear?
We will have to catch up when I get back to Oz. I'll be living just north of you at the Central Coast

The way the chassis is, with a SAS and flat springs, the front will be level with the rear spua and it's current 2.5" lifted springs. If I put 2.5" lifted springs on the front, it will be level with a SPOA in the rear...sounds strange but it works, guy in the US has this setup, gives him good flex, and good onroad ability as well..

That's surprising, I would have thought that you would gain at least 4 inches of lift with the converstion.

by Wendle
Surely the thickness of the axletube and the spring pack together is more than 2.5"

by Ferwoaza
Okay, not explaining it that well
What the guy in the US has done...
Front : SPUA with stock flat YJ springs. Gives about 4" of lift
Rear : SPOA with Stock flat springs. Gives about 4.5" of lift
33" tyres.
It's going to take some fidling when I initially do it, may have to spoa the rear when I do the SAS, won't know until I do it.
I'm probably going to do the front a little different to his, Shackle Reversal and such, similar to toyota setup, so I think I can keep the front a bit lower in a normal SPUA setup, that way I won't have to go SPOA straight away on the rear....it's all going to take some fiddling
