Does MK/MQ transmission have a separate lowrange gearbox like the GQ or is it built in the tcase?

MQ / MK has 4speed / 5 speed section, and a transfercase bolted onto the back with hi 4 and lo 4 in it.... looks nothing like that pic....

Yep you can unbolt the transfer case off the 4 or 5 spd mq box.
Remember some days your the pigeon and other days your the statue
