the info u need is in the fitting insructions... the power for the second locker( front normally) is drawn off the swictched side of the rear, so it will only work when the rear is on... u need to re route this wire to permanant power, making the second locker independent of the first..

this is a dodgy pic, but if u look in the installation manual u will see what u need to change and it will give u the blade number on the back of the switch
hope this helps

if you have the ARB wiring loom.....

First remove some of the tape back along the loom.
follow the yellow wire from switch 2 back to where it joins with the other yellows and cut it off (the switch 2 yellow)

find the switch 1 red and strip back some insulation (probably best where it joins to the other reds) and solder the wire on. Don't use crimps and/or scotch locks. They aren't as relaible typically.

This way the lockers won't operate unless the compressor is powered up but will operate independently of each other.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

What reason are you maybe using the lockers individually.

Cris you sould know that there are any number of instances where you might/could need the front to work indipendant of the rear, turning/pivoting, etc.

Very true. I guess it depends on what the truck is being built for. Personally I keep the back one locked from start to finish oh and use trees to steer. :D I guess an extra option of using either does not hurt. I just dont like putting to much stress on the front CV's.

i cantr tell you how many times ive driven something front locked only, as the rear was always climb somethinf, and drive its self around a corner off a cliff, but with rear off, one rear whell driving only it tends to point straight ahead,

Cris go a 4.6 and GU front and you will forget what a CV is let alone how to change one

With separate lockers you don't lose the use of the front if the air line/solenoid for the rear gets damaged and keeps p*ssing air out. Also sometimes front locker only can help to climb and turn when the rear keeps pushing you straight if it is in.

Cool. Lesson learnt. I will be moding mine to work separatly from each other.

Has anyone used the pnumatic switches for their lockers?

Have seen the switch at Piranah in Melbourne, air line runs from tank/pump to switch to locker.
