ive got these brakes on my 89" GQ and there twin piston floating calipers. as the 89" patrol came out with single piston calipers.
Can any one tell me when patrols came out with the twin piston brakes.

Do the Twin Piston Callipars work better than the single piston ones? was thinking if they do a better job to change my 1990 Single piston ones over to Twin ones.

Is it a hard job ?
Just done my rear brake proportion valve raising. Lifted it 90mm (for a 6" lift... hope thats right). Seems to be better braking. Just a few ideas though
With the spring disconneted the valve seems to fully opened (pressure holding it open) which seems to give full braking to the back no matter what situation. With the bracket raised, should it be just at full valve open. It makes sense to have it that way and when the rear raise up under hard breaking to close the valve a little. And with ful loaded... u get the picture. Sorry for the hi jack but am i on the right track ?
Bigger front brakes would be nice... change rotors, calipers, master cylinder ? is that all ?
cheers
matt

I knew I should have worded that differently.
And I would come over but I am doing my hair. Sorry. Actually I would if I lived on that side of town. But its over 3hrs to get to your place.

by not not
i have an 97 pootrol and did have single piston calliper up front and upgraded to a slotted rotor (dba) . It worked better . Have just changed to a twin piston calliper with the larger rotor (non slotted) and no change but is still better than single piston standed disc so next will b slotted rotor again In short the twin piston are better than the singles but you need the rotor as well for the change
