Allrighty then, the MK petrol that I have has the divorced transfer case, which is placed further back than the attatched case, so the front propshaft is longer and at more of an angle, and the front crossmember has a shaved out section to allow for the propshaft(see pic, the answer i seek is, if the suspension is raised by 2 to 4 inches over standard will the propshaft clear the crossmember or should i cut it deeper and weld in a new section now while i have the chance???
any sugestions would be awesome

Cheers

change it now while its easy. did mine like this (see pic) cut a section out with the 9" grinder and mig welded in 10mm plates then the chopped out bit. Works a treat no flex and does not get hooked up on anything EVER!!!

if your going to the effort, speak to V8Patrol and see how he did his, his was a little bit more involved, but comes up really neat, and looks factory,
V8Patrol done Screwys also,

yeh mine has been cut off all together, extended a fraction and moved back about the size of the crossmember itself. still looks factory and never a problem.

either that or cut it out and brace..... but yes, do it while the body is off, its far easier in the long run.
