The missus is looking for an 80 series on gas, either buy one on gas, or get it put on after $$ depending.
Just want to know who runs which setup, and how they go economy wise, tuning, power, any hassles running dual or straight - if we get gas put on should we go dual or straight is the main question.

Also, what size tanks do yo have? remove spare wheel to fit i presume? can you fit another or larger tank if you go straight gas and remove the petty tank? ive never looked under an 80.

This car won't do any hardcore stuff (read: tracks where i take the troopy :D ) - will do long trips towing bike trailer + 5-6 motos (full family).

Cheers for any info.

An 80 series has 2 tanks, main located under passenger seat (lengthwise) carrying 95 litres and subtank at rear carrying 45 litres.

Gas converts i have seen have removed the rear sub tank and spare wheel mount, install the gas tank there.

But i have seen a 100 series that had the gas tank lengthwise between the axles, cant recall which side it was on, i'm assuming it was the passenger side, but i do remember it was quite low but okay for a road car. which meant they removed the main tank but the spare wheel was still under the rear!

As for your other questions I can't help as mines a diesel.

U can do both, but why you would want straight gas i dont know....some places the 100 can get to dont sell it....
The 100 can be set up with dual bely scooba tanks behind the side steps...then you keep the wheel underneath.....but its only 75 usable gas so you will be filling more than driving...the one that goes under the back is 100l usable and the spare goes on the back or in the back....

I'm pretty sure we'll run dual fuel, and just get a spare wheel carrier.
