dodgy tinting, opinions required.

I just got my Feroza tinted and my local OZTINT but I think they did a bad job, when I raised my concerns on how they did the tint on the rear windows he told me that is the way he has always done it.
Basically he just cut the tint around the bolts that hold on the windows and the latches but he did such a uneven job. Here are some pictures.

As you can see its not even/neat at all.
Should I take it back and demand he do a better job OR is that really how to tint these sort of windows.
I know you can take the windows off and tint them but when you do the bolts up the tinting will twist..

What do you think?

looks a bit bodgey, i dont have tint myself but friends cars that i've seen with tint have always been alot neater than that. I think they may pre-cut the film or sumting, and then stick it on... i can't imagin em re-doing it for you, i have never heard of oztint. they a big co or lil local place? one of my friends got his Foulcan done with solartint and looks sweet as

The old rear windscreen of my Fez was tinted before it smashed and the tint job was much neater than that! The bolts can be removed and once the tinting has set the can be put back in and tightened with out it effecting the tint. I'd take it back and do a song and dance about it. Ring consumer affairs and see what your rights are before doing so though.

And shrink your piccies too next time. That size would be great if I wanted to use the pic as a wallpaper!

All the hatch backs I've had with similar window latches I've always undone the bolts and got them to do the whole window. That looks like a cheap arse dodgy job because of that effort around the latches- get them to redo it properly. Make lots of noise when other potential customers are in their workshop.

Can't remember how my Feroza rear windows are done- it was already tinted before I bought it. Lovely cheap tint that's turning purple........

thanks for your input. After more checking i found some scratches where they were cutting out the tint and some pickiling on the front window.
NOT HAPPY AT ALL.
I will head back on friday and tell them to fix it or refund me, even if i have to take the windows out for them to redo it

Sorry about the size of the pics, i just assumed someone might want to print and frame it :)

It doesn't matter how cheap it was, poor workmanship shouldn't be accepted. Tinting is supposed to enhance the look as well!

It was pretty cheap but i didnt see a sign that said "Cheap and Shit" .
I took it back to them today and he advised against taking the windows out and tinting them, I said thanks for the warning now when can i book it in for.
Next thursday, gives me a chance to repaint the bolts as they are a bit rusty.
Actually he was pretty decent about it.

well i did go back and he did redo it for me. I had to take the rear quarter windows out which was a pain as the stud's on the window were rusted. Had to cut one of them off.
One thing im learning is Feroza spare parts are a pain to get hold of...

Windows look much better now. Im still baking the rear windows in the sun, will put them back in on sunday.
