At what height do u need to think about extending or getting those tailshaft spacers in a 100 series beam front end?

Im looking at either going 4 or 5"'s and was just wondering what had to be done?

Can i use the rear brake line for the front and just get 1 new one for the back?

If u go 4 - 5 " it wont be a problem. .u wont need spacers

I have 7 - 8" unda my 80 and they are still the stock lenght t shafts..

With the brake lines i jsut made a new mount for where the line attaches to the chassis aand dropped it down a couple of inches..

Hope this helps

Well I could have asked how many 105 series owners have ever said "I own a 105 series."

And if it's good enough for Toyota it's good enough for me

Ive never heard Toyota call them a 105 series, they were all coil sprung from 98 until 2000 were they not? Was the V8 GXV IFS?, The TDi's came out in november 2000 and all the TDi's have been the independant front end. i thought if anything the newer ones woulda been the 105 Series (i.e the IFS) as the later the model the higher the number, Eg 60, 62, 80, 100. cant see why Toyota woulda gone, 60, 62, 80, 105 then back to 100 :S. Not tryna stirr shit i just thought they were called the 100 Series from the word go in 1998, incredibly confused :S

is a 75 newer than a 70? No, just different model.

is a 45 newer than a 40? No, just different model.

dont think that it has much to do with age. its just its series.

no no no maybe you missed my point, i know it has nothing to do with age but i just thought like for eg when the 60 series cruisers came out in 1980 they were called a FJ60, HJ60 or what ever then when they came with a turbo it grew to HJ61RG, though everyone refers to them as a 60 series i havnt heard people around saying "i own a 61 series" i call mine a 60. Sorry i made a mistake, I just thought it was weird how when they first come out they were a 105 series now they have dropped back to a 100series, but then again toyota has done some whacky shit like going from a more than off-road capable coil set up front axle, to a piss weak tortion bar set up, still beats me why they turned the most off-road capable 4B into a 4wd that can pretty much only be used as a shopping trolley i mean ide like to see an IFS landcruiser out 4wd or out flex a rigid axle front end landcruiser. Im Sorry but ill buy a patrol before i buy an IFS cruiser. lol yes i know i know that is blasphemy but i personally think they are useless!

Geeez talk about off topic

No u dont need the spacer.. it will work fine without it...

If its fulltime 4wd u might git some vibs from the front tailshaft tho...

Best way round that is a double cardon Joint.. or a part time kit

I suppose the fact is most of the new cruisers on the road will never leave the black stuff. Still you can still get the 4.2 diesel (not turbo) in GXL spec with beam front end. Still off topic :P
