Circle in the beaks hard line

Planning a SAS with my mates 4runner and need to lower the bracket were the flexy break line screws to the hard line and the hard line is like spiraled,Wondering why it would be spiraled and would it effect the breaks work if it gets straightened a little

i'm really not sure why the spiral is there. the only thought is to stop air pockets from travelling up the line when brake lines are disconnected but i'm sure dumbdance would have an explaination for it.
i've straightened mine out and have not had any troubles thus far.
maybe somebody else could shead some light.

I've always thought it's primarily for vibration/stress: plenty of spare line to allow for movement.
The air trap thing sound feasible too.

you will find its to allow movement between the chassie and body
a hilux/4 runner chassie flexes heaps

its to stop vibratiions cracking the lines and also as RB said 2 allow movement in the hard line as the body and chassis flex.
how much u need to lengthen it ? wen i did a bodylify in my single cab i just pulled the coil apart a bit and it was all good

Looking at dropping the mount down 3" and across 3" so we can still run the original SA break lines with 12" shocks

i moved my bundy's one down 3" across about 2" when i fitted the 3" body lift to allow the 350 headers to fit down the gap. i turned the spring horizontal and stretched it apart. i don't know whether skimping on longer lines is reason enough to do it, but i am not you mother
