That is a reasonable price, was it a chain type windscreen place or small independent?

I have heard that a snorkel on the Disco complicates the installation of a replacement screen and that some windscreen places insist on others removing and refitting the snorkel. Has anyone had this experience?

My advice would be not to do it yourself, if I remember from my windscreen fitting days, the classis RR screen was a very tight fit and quite often you had to sit on the inside and push the roof up with your feet to get the screen to come back in. It would be very easy to break one. I would just get a qualified fitter from a reputable company to fit it that way if they break it they pay for it, not you.

Just a comment on clasic rangie windscreens, make sure you get one with out (or at least a thin) tint at the top, otherwise if you are a bit taller your likly to be looking through the tint at overhead trafic lights ect, makes it hard to pick up a red light at night.

With a new seal its an easy job although i suggest purchasing some suction cups aswell or if your really keen and unsure you can pop your roof off and spread the pillars a touch but only ever need to do this with rock hard perished windsreen rubber.taking the roof off and putting back on is easier than you think.
