ok i scored some 33 super swampers for 100$ with 70%tread on em
the question is...

can someone tell me the correct offset rim to get so that they will clear the leafs and give me some nice track width.

i have a two inch spring lift, and the front bumper is gone and the bar is cut of in front of the wheels. What else do i need to do to get them to fit?
body lift.. cut the guards?...

what length shackles are recomended from experience on road and off?

what is the best place to go for 4x4 tyres?

maybe the answers to this would be good in the sierra bible.

thanks for your help guys...

yeah i have heard about the cv's
im just gonna bite the bullet and see for myself what breaks.

Also if i put the tyres on thinner rims, will the tyre have a bulge effect?
will there be more grip on the bead with thinner rims?

Guys I don't mean to gripe, but I'm sure bazooked explained this very clearly last week!

Also please put more info into a title so if people are looking for some thing they get the idea of the thread rather then just "33". I mean that could be the number of times...... hell I'm going to stop here before I get a bus ride.

um sorry about that i wasnt sure what to call the topic since there was so many questions. Its a 88 WT with a 2inch leaf spring lift...

Anyway i have bought some new sunnies 15x8 so ill see if they fit. I might have to play by ear becuase it seems that most people on here are only interested in something if it hasnt been done before...

Sorry mate don't mean to come across like an A-hole, but last week this was discussed. I am thinking you will need to offset the rims buy cut and flip method or spacers otherwise the tires will hit the springs.

Plus it's always better to have more width on a zook.

All you can do is try it out and see what happens ;)

A BL or cut the guards would be best bet.

or cut all the hangers off and inboard the springs. This will also give more flex.

33s are on

Hey all got the 33s on. Looks sweet. Needs a bodylift though to get my flex back. And a low transfer is in order aswell i think. Looks sweet when you looks out the window and see the tyre!!!

yeah i think they are 30 offset or 27 i think. Its wierd because the jump up from a 7inch rim to an 8 inch rim is heaps when it comes to the offset. yeah i wanna do a virtual lift to keep things super stable. But i dont know how and im kinda affraid of letting loose with an angle grinder. cutting the arch higher is no problem, but its the wheel well would be hard to refabricate higher up. Even with a body lift though the thing would be tons more stable than before. And having more track gives the axle more leverage on the springs hence more flex.
