Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey all, i am starting to plan my future lift and am thinking going 5-7" with drop boxes, just wondering if any one has any photo's of some both on and off the car and are the bolt on or weld on??

Thanks guys, like i said im trying to figure out what ill need and whats best to get, also im thinking around the 5-6" mark, i already have 2" with 2 degree bush, would i be able to use some drop boxes with a 4" drop and run my bushes or should i put standard bushes and a bigger drop on the box??

when played around with my lift i used cass jones boxes which are awesome.

i had ome offset castor bushes so we removed them and put in factory nissan bushes.

so to answer your questions just get drop boxes and go back to factory bushes as they wear better anyway.

Mine are wizard i think and are bolt on but needed to be welded at the front for better strength also i think they start at 5 degree

I can take pics tomorrow night of a patrol with the boxes fitted if you like(I have a blokes rig here ATM with them fitted). Mine has a wizard 5 link front fitted so is slightly different.

the wizzard ones I run on mine are bolt and weld on, they work well and have had no issues to date

with these drop boxes, are they more susecptible to dragging on rocks. and what sorta lift will you get away with befor needing them??

A few pics of my drop boxes, bought from Mannells, I have 6" lift.

Much better than plates, less bumpsteer, they are bolt on, minor cutting in the frame.

do these drop boxes help the car perform like its not lifted? better handling etc??? My plates are welded so that might b a bit of a task getting them off, is it worth the trouble to change in the future maybe??

mine were bolt on only.Slight work with the 9 inch to fit them on... nothing major.... just have to square up a rounded section....... no welding.... boxes worked extremely well with my 5 spring......... mine were wizard....

to my knowlege you can get long and short... i had longs and yes they did drag requalrly but not enough to get concerned about......

i have also found that they scrape, you can see the marks on the boxes, but they have never held me up, and they are much better than plates, and heaps cheaper than drop arms, with the same permanent sloid kid of fix to the castor issue

As far as the hangling with boxes over caster plates i found my truck did handle somewhat better but you do also have to factor that 4/5/6 inch lift is a fare bit higher the original springs so it will not ever handle the same but have seen a gq with a very tall spring and fitted with tuff dogs adjustables that when set on hard it behaved very well on road over say mine with pro comps
