middy & 75 series lads... do you have this problem?

have noticed the my front drive shaft has a farly hefty groove in it were it hits the gear box cross member when full flexed up and i recon its limiting flex still... what have you guys done to fix this? and or what ideas do ya recon wood work with out comprimising engineerabilty.... i have a front tail shaft out of a 60 series with a double cardinal that i am lookin to modify to suit and see if this will correct the situation

put the slip joint end up there had to do this with my 45 with a 5spd

Had this problem when we did the SOA on glen1ns 70. We used the 60's DC and also a shaft spacer at the case. We used a 75mm spacer if my memory is correct. It seepms a lot but worked a charm and because its only on the front there were no probs with driveshaft vibs as it is only used at fairly low speeds.

I don't know if I had this problem with the 3F but certainly noticed it after the V8 went in.
After putting in a 2in body lift, I lifted the gearbox 2in now I have heaps of clearance
