Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hows it goin guys,

im just after a quick question, and it is, does anyone else in a paj do as many boots as i do!? iv done 3 in 9 weeks, and went out today and did both inner cv boots again! admittadly theyre the kelpro/repco brand replacement boots as im not forking out $219 ea!!! for a cv boot, especially if this is going to happen, so is there something im doign wrong, its only lifted 2", not even from memory, about 5mm short of 2", so whats the go??? will manual hubs make a difference??? cos they never break on the hardtop, only 4wding, so i dont see that manual hubs is going to do much, unless reduce the rate at which they wear from driving in 2wd???, theyre both brand new since lift, and i dont know why theyve broken??? anyone

Go to a bearing supplier like CBC - the last boots I bought from them were under $10 and have lasted over 12mnths.

Are you getting all the air out of the cv before you put the bands on it? You need to squeeze all the air out of the cv boot or it will wear much quicker just driving around on the road.

or you could try and not tie the laces too tight

rightio thanks guys, will try, and see how we go, blair did u get a manufacturer and a part number or can i justs ay to them i want a cv boot?? cos dad could get em throguhw ork, and so could my cousin, do they come with rings and grease???

klrevo, Ive used the repco boots and they've been in for about three years now. One only lasted four months. But it had a stick go through it.

I think it all depends on how much lift. I dropped mine abit because I think some down travel is needed. grease up the adjusters and only use the lift when your going to do some crawling. And learn to pick a better line.
And get bigger tyres.

my bum is getting better fast

but it's about time some one had a poke around the front end who knoes what they are talking about because the steering is a bit vauge too. so it off to the pro's for this one, besides i can't get into all the places i need to with my bum like it is.
