$3000 genuine...
probably $200 on ebay... you can buy MP3 players for $250 now.

Usually factory stuff gets next to nothing, given that you can get a pretty good aftermarket unit for around $300.
Also, if you kept the factory wiring harness in your car (like I did), then you'll be selling without it making it harder to install.
I ended up just keeping mine - it wasn't worth the effort of selling.

wont be sellin me GU for a long time! and it seems a shame to leave it rot away in the shed when there might be someone out there who needs one

If you really don't want it lying around the house, and think there is "someone who needs it", just give it to a mate.
I did the same thing with the factory bumper of my GU - gave it to a mate who needed a new one (and mine was new!). It was just sitting around the house gathering dust and I couldn't be bothered advertising it given that I would probably have only got $20 for it.
He repaid me by giving me a hand on other stuff.

yea there would be bugger all people interested in buying a standard stereo unit cause an aftermarket one more often than not is better quality and has a hell of a lot more features for a fraction of the price
