Spring Hangers and Pin Kits...

Got my hilux spring hangers, and my hilux pin kit - figured we'd make sure everything fits everything before doing any welding... and blam.. pin holes on the kits are out by half a hole..

The guys who supplied the mounts (opposite lock) swear that its the pin kit thats out, rather than their manufactured mounts... Im going to get them to prove that to me tonight after work...

That aside - is it a bad idea to elongate the hole on the pin plate so it suits the mount? it should be covered by a washer so won't be seen - but may allow more load onto the 2 grub screws that hold it in, right?

if i think i know what ur talkin about i just used a 17 or 19mmm bolt in mine
i forget the size

and made my own hangers

the hangers for stock hilux have a pin with a plate attached to stop the pin rotating... means the nut never comes loose, and the pin is greaseable too... like this:
