What would this comp rig be worth?

Yellow GQ shorty chopped into extra cab, custom tray and bumper, 37" claws on beadlocks, GU front axle assembly, F/R airlockers, 4.6 ratio, holden injected 308, T700 auto, vortech V2 S-trim supercharger kit, haltech ECU, 3" susp lift, twin pro comps on front, single koni red's on back, adjustable panhard's, custom rear links, other susp bits I forget, cheap race seats, harnesses, Garmin GPS, 3 batteries, big red air compressor, ARB air compressor, 4 point internal cage, Warn high mount-steel not plasma rope. No spotties.

It came either 17th or 41st in OBC 2005??

Whats a starting point $$$, for a comp rig like this? What should I offer?

Cheers!

Cheers

this sounds like brett scrivners GQ

i dont think it does much competition but apparently the motor isnt that fast but it still halls arse.

what its worth and what people are willing to spend are 2 different things.

i dont know if anyone would pay 20-30k for it but somone might i know its probably worth that but i wouldnt pay over 30 for it

I would like to see the $$ lifted to be more in line with what they are worth. I think the days of comp truck being worth squat are gone. I would say 25- 30k.

basically i think they are worth truck and parts only all labour counted as $0. so add it up, gq 7k, motor 5k, difflocks 1.5k, tyres/rims2k etc see what you come up with. when you build a truck you never count the labour i would cry if i did

cheers bru

Mr binskin sold his orange shorty ute fully kitted out for 25k. Another bloke that had binskins build him a dualcab fully comp ready GQ sold it for 25k. I saw that sweet looking ex 4wdspecialist shorty/ute/softop gold/black rb30 turbo (arrgghh -homer noises- drool) go for 20k on ebay..

I can say that the second one I mentioned owed the chappy well over 40 grand... and it was meticulously built and looked HORN...

IMHO around 25 k seems to be the GO for fully built comp rigs..

Thankyou for that, he was hoping for offers around 30K but I already thought that was too much, after all its just a GQ with some pretty stuff on/in it, I don't like the fact that its a 100% std engine and its running a blower without an intercooler, not the way to make stuff last in my book.

I think I'd pay 20-22K for it, but i doubt h'ed take that. See what happens.

$25-$30 k. it is a very cheap way to own a comp rig that you can go & race tomorrow. the stock engine with blower would be fine you dont need to much hp until you get all the winching and tech driving bits right ! i say go for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the truck is out of my price range.

See what the bank says about that.

I have seen "homeloan redraw racing", I like that.

There is (was?) a GQ ex OBC rig for sale here in WA.

Here is the text from the ad, you might have to search the autotrader website to get the actual page, it wont let me cut & paste the address.

"1994 NISSAN GQ PATROL, coil cab tray back, 4" suspension lift, 3" body lift, 36" Simex tyres with 15x10 custom rims with internal beadlocks, 5 link front susp, Kevlar guards, rockhopper gears, Holden 5ltr engine & rebuilt T400 trans with manual valve body, too much to list. $22,000. PH 0422295010 Menora."

Its not mine, I just saw it the other day when I was browsing.

Deano.

Yeah it sure looks RTR. I just watched OBC 05 again! On the vid they place it as 41st but I think it was really 17th or 18th Brett said.
