Well its time to move on and sell my trusty old MK turbo diesel and move onto a new erra of 4wd'n. This is my new truck i am picking her up on wednesday.
i picked this baby up for a steal at $9500, It is a 1995 Nissan Patrol DX 4.2 Diesel with 230,000km on the clock it is in excelent condition inside and out. It has a 140L long range tank, steel bullbar, scrub bars, and steel sidesteps and bolt to chasis with checkerplate top, safari snorkel, and OME suspension. perfect for what i need no electrics vinal floor etc good for a solid offroad weapon.
Plans for next month:
Purchase and install 4" suspension lift
fit 2" body lift
hope my 34x11.5 JT2's will fit on it
fit my full length roof rack on it
here is a pic(sorry its poor quality its off my phone)

Looks like a good buy. Got to love the DX for it's simplicity, (vinal floors etc).
Cheers

its a Cookie of a job to get it out, theres about 1mm clearance front and rear on the things, really shit..
with the JT, i lowered mine to 4inch sus and 40mm body lift, and they still rub like fuck on the inner guards, but not the flairs.
on the front flaps I put a small chain on them to the steps to hold em out of the way, works a treat

hey mate..
i run only a two inch lift on my lwb wagon and was running 34/11.5 JTs for off road only no problems...slight scrubbing on the up travel at full lock. I only run two inch to keep it legal and to keep it insurable as it is now a tow rig only.
cheers dave

Sounds good, consider drop boxes instead of castor plates I've heard they're the ducks nuts. I've been thinking of going up to a 5" lift myself so look forward to seeing the results.
