Sway Bar Disconnects on an 80 series...???

HI all,
Just spoke to someone about getting some disconnects for the 80 series.
Have done a 5 inch lift and would like to put them back in for on road, but still be able to keep the articulation.
Anyone know where to get hold of them or if they actually work?
Spoke to snake racing and the guys said they aren't suited for an 80 series as they don't really release the bar ( i think - had a bad line)
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me as we have a trip coming up shortly and would like a little more control over the 80 on road.
TIA
Doc

I got told the same thing... not sure wat they were going on about...

the only prob i can c is if u disconnect both sides the the sway bar will swing down and hit the ground...

My answer to this is only disconnect one side.. u just need to get them to sell ya one...

Doc, I have an 80 with a 3-4in lift and have taken the sway bars out completely. I am, however, running Polyairs which I keep at 30psi for the road and drop down to 5psi for O/R to articulate. They keep it fairly level but not to the same extent of stability the swaybars offer. If you have a 5in lift, you would more than likely need to extend the sway bars to fit over the front tailshaft. So bear that in mind whilst looking for the disconnects...
