Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey all

I have decided to do a virtual lift. How do i remove the peice of tin that runs at a right angle over the wheel arch and holds the flare? Is it glued or spot welded. Cant seem to figure it out

give them a good clean and u should be able to see/feel where its welded

i just used a drill bit and drilled them out

Yeh definitely spot welded..i just whacked a screwdriver between the guard and body. where it hit i figured there was a weld, where it went down i just levered it away a bit. Don't lever it too much though as it bends the body . Once i could see where all the weld were just knocked em off with a cold chisel. This is how i did mine and ended up with very minimal body damage...(I learnt my lesson after the 1st one). But if your doing virtual lift this wont matter as it only slightly bent next to the guard and you will be cutting this out or folding it under anyway!!! Oh btw...I havent actually done virtual lift but got this flare thingo off to put on wider flares.

When i pulled mine off, I did it exactly like this too, easy to do. But like Tim said, drilling it out first maybe a better way of doing it, or a combination of both could be the easiest and quickest way to do it.

You can get a spot weld drill bit especcially for the job (see link) but a normall drill as Tim said will do the trick
