I did just do a search but did not really come up with a clear answer..

I believe to tell if you have lift you measure bump stops? Right?

Next thing is just to clarify are they the round rubber thingo's in middle of the Springs?
If so mine measure approx 62mm. Is that standand?

Hehe, there's a question so silly, even I can answer.

Best way is to ask the previous owner! Otherwise, yeah, bumpstops are a reasonable way - but you don't measure the actual bumpstop! Instead, measure the distance between the bumpstop and the point it will contact. Bumpstops are tall rubber blocks or cylinders, either on the axle, or more often on the chassis rail. Either way, under compression of that wheel, the bumpstop stops the axle crashing into the chassis, or otherwise moving too far.

At ride height, on flat ground, measure the distance I mentioned on both sides, take the average, and compare it with your model's standard measurement.

Hmm, re-reading your question, I think you might have coil springs, and the stop is on the inside of those? In that case, just measure the height of the spring!

If the best way to measure suspension lift is the distance from bump stop to axle - what distance is standard GQ ?? and I can only assume that a 2inch lift will have +2 inches on that measurement.........

I couldn't find this info in the bible.

sorry, but how do you know a vehicle that is 13 years old is 'standard'. It may not have a raised suspension, but how much has it sagged from the manufacturers specification?

60mm front and 80mm rears this is close as i fitted a 2" lift standard coils and this took bump stop hight rears to 135mm

Ok as standard as a 13 year old car with 95,000kms on it that has only been off road (Gravel fire trails that is) twice in its life can be. It is somewhere to start.

My "standard" (11 year old factory coils etc) bump stop clearance only measures about 25mm front ...but only for a few days longer.
My impression was that factory delivered is about 60mm front.
No wonder it rides like a bitch up front

What lift you putting in?? I went 3inch

With a one year old 6" spring lift (which is exactly 6" higher than the standard setup it had) the measurement from the centre of the hubs to the un-modified guard is 27" front and back. Calculate lifts from this and it should be close????

Same Harps...getting the gear through Shane (4WD Stuff) on here.
I put a 2inch body lift in a few weeks back..5 all up should do me.
Should arrive Friday for a bit of weekend tinkering

Left front (88) and right front (102) is what we have. Hardly a 50mm lift hey ??!! The left is noticeble lower than the right.

Rears are good though +55mm and even.

do you have the fronts the wrong way around as springs have a drivers side and a pasanger side.

No - they're correct. They seat properly.

yeah the will but the drivers side is a bit stiffer to compansate for the weight.

i.e. to level the rear of min i put 30mm sapcers on the pass side and 15 on the drivers and this is on brandnew springs.
