powdercoating wheels

Anyone know a good cheap place in brissy to powdercoat steel wheels? I have one white and four that were already done when i bought them so want it to match the rest.
I knew someone would say that. First trip to the beach it rubs straight off and the rest of my wheels are already powdercoated so I want it all to match thats all.Sir Rollsalot wrote:Its called cheap arse cans of spray paint...works like a treat
Cheap sandpaper + cheap primer + cheap spray paintBigMav wrote:I knew someone would say that. I have got a new rim, its white while the rest are black, hence why I want to make it the same as the rest because it looks stupid.bru21 wrote:just buy a new rim. i don't think you will get a sandblast and powdercoat for less than $50 as a one off. new rim is only $50
Actually after the first trip to the beach the cheap arse spray paint didnt come offBigMav wrote:I knew someone would say that. sorry dude, didn't guess the 4 were blackBigMav wrote:I have got a new rim, its white while the rest are black, hence why I want to make it the same as the rest because it looks stupid.bru21 wrote:just buy a new rim. i don't think you will get a sandblast and powdercoat for less than $50 as a one off. new rim is only $50The rest have been powdercoated black/grey colour which was done before I owned the wheels. It would look shit if I just spray it black because I won't get the same match in colour and it would just look shit. Screw it i'll just go through the yellow pages. I thought someone might know someone who does it for a good price thats all.
You must have been lucky mate. I did the same thing to my old zook and it didn't last long at all. Anyways I just don't want to paint them man.Sir Rollsalot wrote:Actually after the first trip to the beach the cheap arse spray paint didnt come offBigMav wrote:I knew someone would say that. They have handled many an ormeau trip and other trips as well with only a few minor scratches
Is BigMav still around? I'd like to know if he ended up finding someone in Brisbane who powdercoats wheels for a good price. Anyone else with any helpful info feel free to chime in. I have 5 steel wheels that need powdercoating.BigMav wrote:Thats cool, I didn't specify. I'll get it done somewhere in the next week or so anyway, can't imagine it costing anymore than about 40 bucks.

TB's rims are also ready to pickup, gettin em friday arvo. will also post pics and talk to mate to see how willing he is to do more for cashyRAY185 wrote:Thanks BigMav. Ok, went down and dropped off my wheels this morning. Just to clear up a few things from my previous post. The $20 plus GST is for the satin black (not gloss) which they use on TJM bars (not ARB). I decided on a gloss black which will be $25 plus GST. Should be ready on monday so I'll post up pics then.
