I have just pulled the front out of my car to install new disk rotors (DBA329 - $70 ea) and find that I need to replace all the wheel bearings (2 each side) and the swivel hub bearings (top and bottom) too.

Ringing around today I get the following quotes. If anyone knows of any better, please let me know...

BURSONS $115 per side, swivel bearings $185 both sides (4)
WYONG BEARINGS $111.80 per side, swivel bearings $226 both sides (4)
ABC BEARINGS $104.50 per side, swivel bearings $190 both sides (4)

and

NISSAN $127 per side, swivel bearings $47 ea = $188 both sides (4)

I think I might go genuine and save time stuffing around with possible wrong parts. Nissan went off my chassis number.

THEY'RE ALL DAMNED EXPENSIVE THOUGH!

can I ask who that was through? Also, was the bearing kit per side or for both sides, meaning that you paid $370ish for what I am about to pay Nissan $430ish for?

All these prices are pants! Here in Scotland Nissan wanted £92 for main wheel bearing each. Bearing supplier did exact same Koyo bearing no. For £18. Kingpin were £36 from Nissan and £10 from supplier. Koyo bearings are not expensive so shop around.

Just got off the phone with Central Coast Bearings and they car doing the following for me.

Front wheel bearings (2 each side) for $73.50 a side plus GST
Swivel Hub bearings for $19.60 each plus GST.

Total $249.70 for all the bearings. Good deal old chaps.

Also I don't think that that includes the 4 small king pin bearings. Anyway, I am very happy with the price I paid. I am reinstalling the drivers side this morning with new rotors and seals so the whole front diff is basically refurbished now.

Hope that fixes my problems...
