This question is probably a bit vague, but I was wondering if anyone would have any idea what sort of cost might be involved in completely retrimming a recaro seat.

I realise this will vary according to what you cover it in, but basically I'm just looking at changing the colour of the seat, because at the moment it is pretty bad.

I was quoted $400 per seat for Paratus seats in my GQ. Laughed at them and went to the next place, they were all $400

Got em patched for $250pr, but now stitching is comin undone

I checked out the cost of getting a set of Vinyl suzuki seats recovered in cloth and it turned out cheaper to buy a set of racing seats from Autobarn instead - so that's what i did.

Perhaps you should consider doing that?

Keep the Recaro for using in the mud though - that's my new problem - i'm trying to find some old vinyl seats again

Have you had any seats re-trimmed in heavy canvas?

I'm trying to setup a seat to be able to run all year round without a roof on the car.

Our trimmer suggested a 12oz canvas cover moulded to your original seat. It will set you back about $200 each but these seem to work well already for the cars in the outback.

It's difficult to retrim seats in canvas as the material doesn't stretch unlike a cover where it can be moulded instead.
